Frequently Asked Questions

 

Question:      WHAT IS YOGA?

Answer:        The word YOGA means to bring together, to unite. A method of training designed to
                     lead to integration or union. The ultimate goal is the linking of the individual soul
                     to universal spirit.


Question:      WHAT SHOULD I WEAR IN CLASS?

Answer:         We recommend comfortable exercise clothing and bare feet.

 

Question:      WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO CLASS?

Answer:         A Yoga mat is necessary. If you do not have one, mats are available to borrow. A hand
                     towel is also helpful.

Question:      CAN I EAT BEFORE A CLASS?

Answer:        We recommend that you do not eat a meal at least 2 hours before class. A light snack or
                     a piece of fruit can be eaten an hour before class.

Question:      IS YOGA JUST FOR THE YOUNG?

Answer:        No! Anyone, regardless of age, can practice Yoga and receive the benefits. As Yoga is an
                     individual practice, growth will occur at your own pace.

Question:      WHAT IF I CAN'T DO ALL THE POSTURES?

Answer:        There is no perfect posture! To begin practicing all you need bring is an open mind and a
                     desire. With time and patience, all will come.
