Chrissie
Owner/Director
Chrissie took her first yoga class as a teenager with her mom, sparking a lifelong journey on the mat. Over the past 15 years, she has been a dedicated practitioner at the studio and even managed it for a year and a half. In April 2021, Chrissie seized the opportunity to complete her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Rhinebeck Yoga Center with Carla Olla. She has also trained in Thai-yoga bodywork with Mukti through the Vedic Conservatory.
Chrissie’s infectious laugh and bright smile light up every room, both on and off the mat. You can still find her practicing alongside her mom! When she's not on the mat or at the Studio, Chrissie loves to spend time outdoors—paddle boarding in the Gulf of Mexico, hiking through the Everglades, or hanging out with her best friend, her Labradoodle, Hanuman.
She is excited to continue holding space for the community at Love Yoga Center, where all can find "A space to breathe, move, and be authentically you."

However, in early 2024, she was lovingly called back by the waves and sunshine of her hometown.

DamaDé
DamaDé Amanbir calls upon a dance background and her twenty four years of experience as a yoga instructor to co-create a luminous and often profound experience for her students. Her teaching philosophy straddles the old-world yoga philosophies of the Himalayan tradition and today’s “nouveau yoga.”
Naturally curious about the ways in which yoga science heightens awareness and can be applied in a practical way to everyday life, she integrates this knowledge into both private lessons and group sessions.
Students have said that DamaDe' guides them intuitively—with intelligent, mindful sequencing of postures that thread various pranayamic (breathing) techniques throughout each session.
She reveres her teachers: Swami Rama, Swami Veda Bharati, Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, Yogi Bhajan, all the masterful teachers from the International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association, as well as others who have inspired her path through their teachings and writing: Tias Little, David Swenson, Duncan Wong, Caroline Myss, Ram Dass, Thich Nhat Hanh, Katherine Woodward Thomas, Barry Long and other amazing teachers. DamaDe' formally studied at the Himalayan Institute and through the Kundalini Research Institute. She also leads workshops and team-teaches for yoga instructor training.

Chris
Chris first discovered the magic of Eastern philosophy in 1st grade when his parents enrolled him in Choi Kwan Do classes. Three years of unwavering dedication led to the achievement of his Black Belt, and a profound fascination with the mind-body connection took root.
A decade later, a college friend extended an invitation to a 90-minute Vinyasa class, and Chris, always eager to embrace new experiences, gladly accepted. Immediately he fell in love with the physical and mental benefits of the practice, evoking a sense of nostalgia reminiscent of his early days in martial arts.
As the years passed and he continued to attend yoga classes, a gentle inner voice persistently urged Chris to pursue a teacher certification. Unable to resist the call of his heart, he embarked on a seven-week journey in Tuscany, Italy. Where he immersed himself in learning about the chakra system, chanting, meditation, and Hatha yoga. Upon returning home, Chris found himself wholeheartedly dedicated to sharing his passion for teaching.
With over eight years of yoga experience and certifications including a personal training certification from NASM, Chris artfully melds the science of movement with an intuitive connection to the body. Through this unique lens, he weaves strength-style Vinyasa flows to invigorate the body while infusing meditative elements of Hatha yoga to fortify the mind. The result is a practice that both challenges and rejuvenates the spirit.

Winter
Hi, I'm Winter! I'm a Qigong instructor, writer, and circus artist. I have always been interested in health and wellness and believe true healing incorporates the emotional, physical, and spiritual. My Qigong journey started in 2017 when I was in college looking for a way to ease my anxiety and improve my overall health. A few years later, I became certified to teach Qigong, which included a teacher training immersion in Thailand.
Qigong happens to combine everything that I love: creative expression, wellness, and living in harmony with nature and all beings. Learning Qigong has been similar to learning a new language — learning a new way of communicating with myself and the world around me. My goal, as a teacher, is to get the energy flowing and to help my students connect with deeper aspects of themselves so that they can feel renewed physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
